Fireman Cornelius M. Nolton

Fireman Cornelius M. Nolton, badge #147, was appointed on 6/14/1993 and assigned to Engine 29. He transferred to Truck 9 and later to Engine 18. On 7/23/07, F/M Nolton was detailed to Truck 9 and was raising a ladder at a two-alarm fire at Station 1532, 137 Brookdale Avenue and complained of a back injury. He was taken to University Hospital and later released. Later that day, he was in severe pain and was taken to Valley Hospital where he was admitted. Two days later, on 7/25/07, he died. He was 36 years old at the time of his death.
