On July 27,1899 we lost another of our own in the LOD.
Fireman Charles W. Kinsey, badge #86, was assigned to Truck 4. On 7/27/1899, Truck 4 was struck by a trolley car while returning from an alarm called in from Box 321. He was the tillerman and suffered critical injuries. Later that day he died. He was 43 years old at the time of his death.
