Fireman Alfred L. Biebel, badge #136, was appointed on 5/3/1894 and assigned to Engine 10. On 5/1/1903, he transferred to Truck 5. He transferred to Truck 3 on 9/1/1905. On 8/21/1911, while responding to an alarm, he was in the Tiller seat when the apparatus hit a rut in the road. F/M Biebel was thrown from the Tiller seat and run over by the apparatus. He died from his injuries. He was 45 years old at the time of his death.
