Captain Anthony V. Lardiere

Captain Anthony V. Lardiere, badge #402, served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was appointed on 7/1/1948 and was assigned to Engine 3. On 10/11/1957, he transferred to Truck 1. He was promoted to Captain on 4/9/1963 and was assigned to Truck 4. On 5/7/1972, at Station 2317, during overhaul at a three-alarm fire in a vacant three-story brick building, a collapse occurred which resulted in his death. He was 54 years old at the time of his death. Captain LaTorre and F/M Schoemer also died in this collapse.
